Optics are our business, starting from comprehensive experienced optometry, to spectacles, sunglasses, a significant stock of disposable contact lenses on hand. As well as catering to more specialist eyewear applications such as custom made contact lenses, sports eyewear, children’s eyewear, certified safety eyewear, prescription diving masks & swimming goggles, loupes, and other vocational specific eyewear. Advice costs nothing, and if the answer isn’t at hand, we’ll find it.
Private Billing Practice.
Please note we are a private billing practice. We charge the Medicare scheduled fee, which will then be transmitted to Medicare, who will reimburse directly. The maximum amount for your scheduled 45 minute appointment will be $193.10, of which $31.15 or $62.15, will be reimbursed to you by Medicare. This comprehensive consultation pricing consists of $73.10 scheduled consult fee, and $120 for Optos Ultra Wide Retinal Mapping & Optical Coherence Tomography(OCT) screenings. Should only one of these screening tests be required, the charge is $70, meaning the price $143.10. The Medicare reimbursement is dependent upon the item number processed, your eligibility for which is determined by the consulting optometrists findings, and the date of your last examination. The OPTOS & OCT screenings have yet to have an item code allocated by Medicare, as such are not eligible for claiming
